Animated Bridges

With the support of the AKBW, ​​the European Architecture House Upper Rhine annually organizes OSCAR – the architectural model-making competition for school classes in Basel and the German-French Upper Rhine region. This year, students from nearly 130 classes from Basel to Heidelberg explored the design of bridges:

"People cross them, take photos on them, and attach padlocks to them. But bridges can also be places for encounters, commerce, and even living. They are primarily presented to us as beautiful technological objects that combine art and engineering, but they are also works of art!" – this is how the competition announcement reads.
