The traveling exhibition “FIX IT! Renovation Instead of Demolition” is coming to Stuttgart! It showcases successful projects from across Germany that demonstrate the potential of renovation and expansion.

Under the motto “Renovate, don’t speculate,” the exhibition highlights why avoiding demolition is a central task for architecture in times of climate crisis and resource scarcity – and what options are available. A joint exhibition by Architects4 Future, HouseEurope!, and the BDA (Association of German Architects).

For the Stuttgart venue, the exhibition will be expanded to include three local projects that exemplify the urban renewal discourse in the region:

Haus NUB by AMUNT Nagel Theissen, Stuttgart

Haus B by Yonder – Architecture and Design, Stuttgart

Haus des Tourismus by asp Architekten, Stuttgart/Berlin

The exhibition opening will be accompanied by a discussion entitled “Renewal Instead of Demolition.”Opening: November 17, 2025, 7 p.m.
