Living with a Future
What is its significance for society? And why does it concern us all? What is meant by non-profit housing?
These and many other questions are answered in the travelling exhibition Living with a Future. In times of multiple crises, non-profit housing offers an answer for society - a safe, social and affordable home for a large part of the population.
The exhibition focuses on Austria's system of non-profit housing and housing subsidies. Diagrams, statistics and encyclopedia entries explain how this system works and describe its significance and effects for the Austrian population.
The exhibition presents 20 projects that have been built by non-profit developers over the last 50 years. The settlements and buildings from all over Austria provide an insight into everyday realities and living spaces. The living spaces shown reflect questions of coexistence, administration, district development and environmentally friendly construction.
