Benedetta Tagliabue and her architecture studio Miralles Tagliabue EMBT from Barcelona and Shanghai, together with ROCA, present a selection of large-scale international projects designed by EMBT, embracing innovative ideas on urban regeneration in Europe, Asia and Russia. “Urban Regeneration - Travelling around the world” is composed by ten important projects that showcase compromised architecture in terms of social and public space; a synthesis between the built environment and nature, able to generate comfortable and welcoming cities. Hamburg, Paris, Barcelona, Naples, Taichung, Neijiang and Moscow are the featured cities of this exhibition. Each project takes in consideration the context, the history, the users and its culture and aims to enhance these aspects as a materialization of EMBT’s and ROCA’s philosophy: a better city leads a better life. EMBT’s regeneration process aspires to adapt the urban context to the current standards of welfare, sustainability and mobility. Human feelings are a way of energy and should be considered as a powerful element in this process; after all, architecture has an incredible role in pacifying and integrating societies. This exhibition arrives now in Moscow as the continuity of the great success achieved in Hong Kong with an expo presented last year at the HKDI Gallery. These experiences desire to be part of a big challenging plan: an itinerant exhibition willing to visit attractive and vibrant cities around the world.

Miralles Tagliabue EMBT is an international acknowledged architecture studio founded in 1994 by the association of Enric Miralles (1955-2000) and Benedetta Tagliabue in Barcelona. Coincidently this partnership began just before the start of the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona’92, an apogee period of the city and its architecture. EMBT’s mature approach to architecture, interior design, facility planning includes experience with educational, commercial, industrial and residential buildings, restoration of buildings as well as special purpose landscape architecture. The studio has experience in public spaces and buildings in both Europe and China working for State and Local Governments as well as Corporate and private clients.
