100 Years (Great-)Berlin

The AIV's New Year's reception was accompanied by the vernissage "Plans and Drawings from the Greater Berlin Competition" from the Architecture Museum of the TU Berlin.

Markus Tubbesing (AIV) explains the reason for this exhibition: In 1910, a competition was held to show solutions for the rapidly growing city - relevant today as it was then. In 2020, various exhibitions, in which the AIV is also participating, will commemorate the creation of Berlin. Markus Tubbessing presented his book "Greater Berlin Competition. Berlin 2020 - 100 Years of Greater Berlin". The competition 100 years ago provided material for many stimulating discussions that took place that evening.
