Bâtir des lois | To Build Law
The Callot Gallery is presenting the exhibition “Bâtir des lois,” produced by the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA), for the first time in France.
The exhibition focuses on the work of the Berlin-based architectural collective bplus.xyz, whose research, architectural projects, the political laboratory “House Europe!” and the European Citizens’ Initiative “Power to Renovation!” address building policy, urban renewal, and legal frameworks that enable the sustainable transformation of areas.
Through documents, films, artifacts, and case studies, “Bâtir des lois” demonstrates how legal frameworks become genuine project tools that directly influence urban forms, housing models, and architectural practices.
“Bâtir des lois” is the second chapter of “Sur le terrain,” a film and exhibition series presented by the Centre Canadien d’Architecture, Montréal, Canada, with Margaux Derrieus, architect, Doctor of Architecture, journalist, and chief curator of the Galerie Callot.
