From Münster to Bonn: 30 objects from NRW
In art and construction projects, artists deal with the time, place, space and function of architecture. Her works can surprise, confuse and create identity. They reflect social questions and encourage new looks at architecture. This is how buildings come to life, unique places are created - art and architecture come together in everyday life.

30 objects from North Rhine-Westphalia have been selected as examples for this exhibition. You can see, among others, the “exhaust air sculptures” by Friedrich Gräsel in front of the former Westdeutsche Landesbank in Münster (architecture: Harald Deilmann), “Large Two Forms” in front of the former Federal Chancellery in Bonn by Henry Moore (architecture: Stieldorf planning group) and by Selma Gültoprak the work “Earth Is Blue” at the Goethe-Gymnasium in Düsseldorf (renovation: RKW Architektur+).

Lunch break tours: every exhibition day, always at 1:15 p.m., approx. 15-20 minutes; without registration

Opening: October 25, 2023, 5:30 p.m.

Group tour: Thursday, November 9th, 6 p.m. (with discussion afterwards)

Photos, videos and texts provide an insight into the diversity of this special art form: different genres, materials and dimensions, but above all different forms of creation and reception. More than an assessment of artistic quality, it is about showing the added value that art can create for the building and its users, but also pointing out limitations and challenges.
