Love Stories, the exhibition by PLANORAMA Landscape Architecture, investigates the poetic interplay between nature and culture, as well as between analogue materiality and digital representation. To achieve this, the architects practice has designed an installation that fills the gallery space with 500 pink, plant-filled plastic containers

The arrangement and stacking of these containers serves as a metaphor for a working methodology that carefully balances systematic organization with creative expression and precision with natural growth. This spatial composition invites visitors to engage with landscapes as experiential spaces and to view design as an act of pleasure, highlighting the aesthetic potential of landscape architecture. Displayed at varying heights throughout the space, models and explanatory handouts showcase five projects that exemplify the firm’s comprehensive approach, dissolving boundaries between urban planning, architecture, and landscape architecture.

At its core, PLANORAMA Landscape Architecture serves not just as a designer but as a narrator, crafting “love stories” between people, spaces, and nature. The exhibition captures the passion and dedication that shape each project and encourages visitors to embark on a multifaceted journey through space, nature, and design.

PLANORAMA Landscape Architecture was founded by Maik Böhmer in Berlin in 2006. Partners Fabian Karle, Thomas Lücke, and Ulf Schrader have been part of the management team since 2019. Notable projects include the Rhineboulevard promenade in Cologne (2015), the market square in Mönchengladbach-Rheydt (2014), garden exhibitions in Wassertrüdingen (2019) and Eppingen (2022), and the sculpture garden at Museum Berggruen in Berlin (2013).
