Opening of the short exhibition with lectures on the experimental practice of Lukas Ingold and Hannes Mayer; moderated by Caspar Schärer

The opening of "wood shapes" focuses on experimentation. Experiments can develop new design methods and explore previously untested concepts. In their work, Lukas Ingold and Hannes Mayer reinterpret established construction methods – particularly wood construction. Their experimental approach addresses complex questions: How do we design and build with new digital tools? How can we address the increasingly urgent challenges in managing our resources? And how can architecture, through experimentation, create a productive connection between theory and craftsmanship, as well as design and research?
