Dietmar Feichtinger
This is a comprehensive solo exhibition dedicated to the work of internationally renowned Austrian architect Dietmar Feichtinger and his firm.
His work is characterized by an integrated design approach in which the supporting structure, construction, and architectural expression form an inseparable unity. The structure does not function as a subordinate technical element, but as the primary framework for order and space. Load-bearing elements, joints, and structural details remain visible and formulate a clear tectonic language. Architecture and civil engineering merge into a coherent design methodology focused on functional precision, structural honesty, spatial transparency, and long-term flexibility of use.
The exhibition shows models, competition and construction drawings, films, and large-format photographic and panoramic documentation of completed and ongoing projects. It addresses the tension between design and realization, between conceptual idea and structural implementation. At the same time, it focuses on the collaborative process of building: architecture is revealed as an interdisciplinary achievement, supported by engineers, specialist planners, craftsmen, and builders.
Opening: March 5, 2026, 6 p.m.
