Murals by Robert Herrmann

Imaging technologies have always changed and expanded our view of reality – often associated with a deceptive promise of the authenticity of their representation.

Within the "Laboratories" format, Robert Herrmann's wall-filling, recursive photographs of the gallery space blur the boundaries between representation and depicted. In the direct feedback loop between the processed image and the depicted object, unusual perspectives and sequences open up within a familiar space. At the closing event, we invite you to a discussion with Robert Herrmann and Tillmann Wagner on recursive and adaptive concepts in architectural photography. The exhibition is curated by Constantin von der Mülbe and Tillmann Wagner.
