atelier le balto

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Berlinische Galerie, the landscape architects of atelier le balto are creating an artistic garden installation in the museum's forecourt.

The museum's south facade will be covered with various climbing plants. A terrace deck with seating will be created beneath the opposite row of trees, which borders the street. The installation invites visitors to linger, creates a special atmosphere in the forecourt, and provides shade during the hot summer months. Various events, such as artist talks, performances, and educational programs, will take place in and around the public garden in the summer of 2025.

The newly created space invites visitors and neighbors of the Berlinische Galerie to come together in a relaxed atmosphere.
