Drawings, designs, buildings. Building culture in the office
The exhibition takes a look at the work of Helmut Rabien as head of the building construction department of the Bremen-Nord building authority, 1987-98. During this time, a wide variety of buildings were built in Bremen-Nord that were designed, revised or "co-designed" by H. Rabien and his team. Many of the plans reveal the architect's extraordinary artistic style and illustrate his design method.
A large proportion of these original drawings have now been handed over to the b.zb archive. They represent an important and aesthetically original contribution to Bremen's building culture.
