Hours
Tue - Thu 3 pm - 6 pm

The Fritz Schumacher Society, in collaboration with Galerie auau, is presenting the exhibition “BENOÎT – artist in architecture”—a retrospective of the work of Belgian artist Benoît van Innis (1960–2024) at the intersection of art and architecture.

Speakers at the opening will include architect Paul Vermeulen (de Smet Vermeulen Architecten, Ghent), who has collaborated with Benoît, as well as An Fonteyne and Elke Schoonen (Chair of Affective Architectures, ETH Zurich).

The exhibition accompanies the publication of the book of the same name and is dedicated to Benoît’s work at the intersection of art and built space. In close collaboration with renowned architectural firms—including de Smet Vermeulen, noAarchitecten, Sergison Bates, Marie-José Van Hee, and EM2N—numerous projects have emerged over the years in which artistic and architectural styles intertwine.

Opening: October 8, 2026, 6:30 p.m.
