Aging Well

New Italian Wineries

Finstral Studio Friedberg

Hours
Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm Sat 9 am-1 pm

Curated by Roberto Bosi and Francesca Chiorino of Casabella, Milan, the exhibition explores the evolution of winery architecture in Italy, showcasing how contemporary wine cellars have become essential elements in shaping a winemaker’s identity. Through a selection of eleven projects, the show invites visitors on a journey from South Tyrol to Sicily, highlighting buildings that establish a dialogue with the surrounding landscape.

As Francesco Dal Co, editor of Casabella, notes: “Wine and architecture share a common goal — to age well.” This philosophy is at the heart of the featured works, each balancing tradition with innovation, rooted in context while projecting a clear contemporary vision.

Alongside the exhibition’s 11 selected wineries, the so-called Osteria dell’Architetto (Architect’s Tavern) forms a lively meeting place at the very interface between wine and architecture.
