The exhibition "Beautiful Giants? Architecture and Energy Reflected in Photography" explores energy-generating architecture in our immediate and distant surroundings. Energy keeps our society running. Although it is invisible, its production has a spatial footprint: nuclear power plants, wind turbines, pipelines, coal-fired power plants, dams, offshore platforms.

This architecture, where technical and commercial success counts rather than aesthetics, is imposing and impacts the landscape. It is indispensable and at the same time a trigger for conflicting emotions – including among the photographers in the exhibition. Based on their artistic exploration, the exhibition opens a debate about these colossal and bizarre structures, about our relationship to them, and about their future.

Opening: 19.10.2025, 6:30 pm
