Hypo Vorarlberg Building Culture Prize 2025
For over 35 years, Hypo Vorarlberg has been honoring outstanding construction projects to raise public awareness of the importance of high-quality, sustainable construction and planning for society and the environment. The focus is on the successful collaboration between clients and their professional planning partners. Architecture is understood as a reflection of overall social and cultural processes, and social, political, economic, ecological, technological, and aesthetic influences and effects are also taken into account. This also requires a certain awareness of contemporary developments in the award's orientation, which the bank wishes to express by renaming the award the Hypo Vorarlberg Building Culture Award.
The vai has been an organizational partner of the award for many years, responsible, among other things, for the jury process (Jury 2025: Prof. Stephan Birk, architect, Birk Heilmeyer and Frenzel Architekten, Stuttgart and Chair of Architecture and Timber Construction at the Technical University of Munich | Angelika Fitz, Director of the Vienna Architecture Center | Sandra Gnigler, architect, mia2 Architektur, Linz) and contributing to the accompanying publication.
Starting April 26, the nominated projects and those awarded the main prizes, as well as all other submissions in a compact format, will be presented at the vai's premises.
