Tafelzetting #14

In the summer of 2025, Pioniersplanters will place the tables on the square in front of De Singel. The collective creates spatial interventions that playfully guide our use and understanding of space. For example, they will temporarily set up the forecourt as a place for sports and games. Table setting #14 opens on Thursday 26 June 2025.

In this Table setting, Pioniersplanters claims the forecourt in front of De Singel in Antwerp as an urban place for sports and games. The intended user is not only the person who plays sports or games, but also the person who watches them or lingers there for a while. The tables provided will be stacked into a grandstand for spectators; the sports infrastructure can be used by everyone all summer long. The other projects of the Pioniersplanters will also appear in the grandstand, to place their Table setting in their young oeuvre of playful interventions in space.
