Table setting #9 presents the young Leuven firm fijn architectuur atelieris. Their portfolio shows a special sensitivity for dealing with found elements and structures. Their Table Setting shows how they apply this design attitude from individual residential projects to first public assignments. Moreover, the exhibition itself responds to the situation of the square in front of DE SINGEL.

fijn architectuur atelieris the design agency of Liesbeth Put, Peter-Jan Depreeuw and Jonas Van Molle. They prefer to work in dialogue with existing situations (context?). Their interventions are refined and sensitive, playful and surprising, but in complete sobriety. Their work is situated at the intersection of architecture, interior and installation.

Their Table Setting responds nicely to the different layers in the construction of the square in front of DE SINGEL. The tables define a new space in dialogue with found elements: the colonnade of the light installation and the intersection of square and avenue. The exhibition installation is an extension of the work that the architects show within it.

The exhibition Table Setting #8 fijn architectuur atelier opens on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Architects Liesbeth Put, Peter-Jan Depreeuw and Jonas Van Molle provide further explanation of the work they exhibit in conversation with series curator Petrus Kemme. Afterwards there will be a reception at the exhibition on the square in front of DE SINGEL, at the bottom of the slope towards Léon deSingel Café.
