GNWA is seeking new forms of expression, contemporary archetypes that are both resistant and resilient, capable of capturing the complexity and contingency of our unstable reality, while preserving the fundamental principles of architecture.

To perceive the propositional nature of today’s uncertainty, the formal structures of archaic clarity remain the only reliable and coherent support for GNWA.These works, based on a neutral syntax, are spatial structures that imply cultural and social aspects, but they remain open to future interpretation and appropriation. Designed at a precise moment, these long-term projects withstand the test of time.

Structures of Contingency present the work of the GNWA for the last ten years. Through various models, images, and other working tools, the exhibition shows the juxtaposition of formal structures and the latest research facing contemporary urgency and uncertainty. The current complexity of our discipline is highlighted by the tension between the necessary and the contingent.
